"Share to Yammer" truly is gone - what's next?

This article explains what happened to the "Share to Yammer" button, which was discontinued at the end of Q2 2025, and what you can do now. The historical context Yammer was acquired by Microsoft in 2012. At that time, Yammer was a popular enterprise social networking service, and Microsoft integrated it into its suite of productivity tools. Well, "integrated" might be a strong word. More like "added it to marketing materials". But I digress.

Extend Your Windows 10 Experience for Another Year 🥰

This article explains how you can keep using Windows 10 for another year, even though Microsoft has officially ended support for it. Background (rant) I'm not going to lie - right now I would not buy a Windows computer. It just feels like a risk you don't need to take. And I would know! I have bought 3 Windows machines in the last 3 years, costing me (or my employer) 4000, 2500 and 750 euros respectively.

How to query a term + children in SharePoint Search (KQL)?

In this article, I'll get back to basics of KQL in SharePoint Online's Search Service, and explain how to target a Managed Metadata term and its children. Maybe everyone else just remembers how to do this straight off the bat, and how the service behaves in different scenarios... But I don't. And googling gave me a bunch of low confidence results. Which I had very low confidence in. So here we are. I needed to try this out again, and document it for future reference.

LEDs Are Blinking But Nobody's Home - Dell XPS 15

This article explains how to diagnose and fix a Dell XPS 15 laptop that won't start, indicated by blinking LED lights. It includes a list of blink codes and a step-by-step guide to resetting the BIOS. And a lengthy rant about Dell and the state of Windows laptops in 2020s 🙃 Background Ah, Dell XPS 15, my favorite laptop to hate on. 1.5 years of a love-hate relationship, with very little love and a lot of hate. Don't get me wrong. I have loved Windows since I first got started on Windows 3.11.

How to authenticate against SAP SF OData endpoints in .NET?

This article explains how to obtain OAuth access tokens for SAP SuccessFactors OData endpoints using the SAML 2.0 Bearer Assertion flow. I wouldn't normally write about SAP. It's one of the TLAs that gives me shivers, and I'd rather stay away from it. But the corporations do love it - almost as much as they love Workday - so deal with it we must! I'd also normally post my articles on Tuesdays - but this one was so painful to finish that it'll roll out when it's done.
