Summer is here - I'm taking a break, and you should too!
The summer is finally here, and I'm on vacation. The blog will be quiet for the next 3 weeks or so, as I'm trying to survive the hail, thunder and mosquitoes of the Finnish summer.
Out-of-office
Alright, so the Finnish summer is nothing to sneeze at, although looking at the weather forecast, I'm not sure which 1-2 days we are calling "summer" this year. Not this week, but maybe 11-12 of July, then?

But at least the bright nights and horrible weather mean it's a great time to renovate indoors! Not too hot, and there's enough natural light until 1-2 AM to finish setting up those final pieces of moulding and obviously reapplying the high-temperature sealant seams that are breaking down in the sauna (apparently, Finns have a different definition of "high temperature" than the rest of the world).
Anyway. I will not have the time to finish any blog articles over the next couple of weeks, so expect a small break in posting.
And if you somehow are reading this and find yourself in the Northern Hemisphere, I hope you are enjoying your summer as well.
And if you are in the Southern Hemisphere, I hope you are enjoying your.. Winter? Even if at least the Australian winter sounds just like the summer here, except with fewer halestorms and way more bloodthirsty magpies.
Needless to say, I prefer the European magpies. They might steal your shiny things, but as long as their protection money is paid, they will leave you alone.
Anyway. See you in August!
